Dow Jones is seeking a Platform Editor for NewsPlus, its web portal for financial professionals.

NewsPlus features company, markets and economic news, features and analysis from Dow Jones Newswires in English and in real-time, on an intuitive web interface. Working on a shift-based system, NewsPlus editors form part of a team that selects breaking news, features and analysis from across Dow Jones publications, including the Wall Street Journal, curating them for publication on the NewsPlus platform.

NewsPlus is a crucial component of Dow Jones鈥檚 professional content business, and is highly valued by banks, financial services companies, brokers and other market experts. Internally, stories published first to the platform increasingly appear on WSJ.com, the main Wall Street Journal website, and in print.

NewsPlus content also powers APIs that feed a large number of third-party platforms.

NewsPlus team members must be comfortable working in a digital news environment and be able to assess stories for publication based on strong news judgment. The team is also responsible for compiling newsletters, briefings and other material.

Strong written English, excellent news judgment, a close eye for detail and good organizational and prioritization skills are essential. A demonstrable interest in current affairs, economics, business and finance are also key, as is an interest in how news is consumed.

Applicants should preferably have a sound understanding of financial markets and corporate and economic news. Some previous reporting experience would be an advantage.

An ability to quickly grasp software and technology is important, especially in the areas of news production and data handling.

A key part of the role includes communicating in real time with other editors, reporters and coverage chiefs across the region and more broadly. The ability to work varying shifts may also be required. There may be occasional early starts.

We are looking for a Korean language translator to assess and help improve the accuracy and fluency of newswires and WSJ content that is translated into Korean. You will work in the WSJ newsroom to continuously review the quality of the translated articles and build a glossary of specialized terms.

The role requires fluency in English and Korean, strong command of financial and business terminology and familiarity with machine learning tools.

You Will:

+ Review and edit real-time news articles translated into Korean

Based in London, this is an exciting opportunity for a creative producer to work with our print and digital titles in the development and production of scripted projects.

Across The Times, The Sunday Times and The Sun our journalists uncover and report on thousands of stories every year. Some of this news gathering is taken into longer form book publishing and some into episodic podcasts. We now want to develop the pathway to take these stories to screen in partnership with Fox Entertainment Group.

The Scripted Development Producer will be tasked with identifying, developing, and presenting the most exciting materials from our archives and contemporary journalism to our colleagues in Fox Entertainment Group (FEG).

**Day to day you will:**

+ Pitch ideas to FEG Commissioning teams based upon IP developed from News UK鈥檚 journalism.

+ Move ideas from pitch through to commissioning and into production.

+ Mining the archive to identify the most relevant material for development.

+ Working with the editorial teams across The Times, The Sunday Times and The Sun to find contemporary stories which lend themselves to scripted development.

+ Develop a deep understanding of FEG鈥檚 creative priorities by working with creative and commissioning teams in London, New York and Los Angeles,

+ Craft stories you identify into pitches for FEG and News UK executive teams.

+ Collaborate with the FEG team to develop your ideas by providing feedback on creative treatments, potential writing talent and other core creative processes.

**What we are looking for from you:**
